Have used Injinjis to prevent blisters on long multi-day hikes for years.
These come up high enough for a mid-height boot. Don't put the over socks in a dryer though - my girlfriend accidentally did and they have shrunk a bit.
The liners are great as always. The over sock has a good fit to allow for the effect of the toe socks widening the toe area and are quite thick - wonderful for winter, but a bit too hot for summer. And be aware that means there is quite a lot of sock to fit in your boots.
I may use them together in winter on day hikes, but not long multi-day hikes in warm weather (eg Camino de Santiago, UK national trails in summer) - so will probably need to find a thinner hiking sock to go over them.
If you have cold feet then it may not be an issue.
Would be great if Injinji could provide a variety of over socks in different weights and materials, so you can pick the ones that work best for the conditions you run or hike in.
