vest worn for scafell skyrace 2018 July 18, 2018 Reviewer: Robert campbell from United kingdom   Wore vest for 40km run over extremely technical terrain with 2 litres water, plus mandatory kit.  With both chest straps done up tight, the vest rode up at the front,  whilst sinking down at the back,  such that the uppermost chest strap choked me within a couple of mins.  This continued for 10 hours,  despite attempting every adjustment possible.  The supplied bottles have a rubber bite valve that simply will not work quickly to dispense liquid on demand,  i tried for ten hours and conclude that  it is impossible to be happy  with the design of this valve.  I have 4 other running vests and run distances up to 100km quite  often.  The UD vest is the worst running product i have ever used.  Suggest you at least try before you buy. Ultimate Direction JUREK FKT VEST June 25, 2018 Reviewer: Melissa Griffiths from Orinda, CA United States   I was looking forward to this pack as I admire Scott Jurek but would say I'm satisfied, not delighted. It doesn't bounce when I run and has lots of pockets, although they don't actually hold all that much. The shoulder straps don't adjust at all so when the pack is fully loaded, it fits me very differently and can't be adjusted to fit the heavier weight. I like the shape of the bottles that it comes with but they rub my arms if I use both of them at the same time. They are also hard to drink from as my mouth gets blasted with air - I haven't figured out why! I plan to use this pack for an upcoming 100 miler - it will just about fit a waterproof shell with water and food for 4-5 hours, but probably not much more. I've tried lots of packs over the years of ultras and adventure racing and I would rate this as an 'upper middle of the range' pack. All that being said, maybe the perfect pack doesn't exist. Service received from Ultra Marathon Store was great and I would buy from them again! Was this review helpful to you?

Good choice May 28, 2018 Reviewer: S. Pahos from Horsham, W Sussex United Kingdom   I allowed for almost 6 months until I tested the vest in the Olympian Race (180km) in Greece. The vest performed very well and I had it on for almost 28 hours. Light, firm with plenty of storage for someone who does solo runs. The only drawback is the two bottles that come with the vest. I will have to substitute them at first chance. Their valves simply refuse to work and they leak once you puncture them. Luckily two bottles come at a cost of no more than £12. Overall, I will recommend the vest. Good quality, fit, no chafing problems, with plenty of storage. Was this review helpful to you?

UD Jurek FKT Vest February 16, 2018 Reviewer: Sean from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire United Kingdom   Never had an ultra vest before so was little unsure of what to buy.  So far (one 25km run) I am very pleased with the Jurek FKT, very comfortable with plenty of storage for food, water-proofs, etc.  The side pockets are particularly useful, easy to reach and can stretch to hold quite a bit.  I noticed a couple of comments about phones being to big for the chest pocket, I used a side pocket for the phone and had no issues reaching it. The only thing I am not too sure about yet is the bottles, I did feel the top of them pressing into my chest a bit, might be better with some vest adjustment, I might end up changing them for soft bottles but will decide after a few longer runs. Service from Keith is great and the vest arrived timely and well packed. Review Update. After spending a bit more time adjusting the vest so the bottles sit a little further out and the problem has gone so changed review to 5 stars. Was this review helpful to you?

UD Jurek FKT Vest December 28, 2017 Reviewer: Mathew Foster from Derby, Derbyshire United Kingdom   Superb bit of kit. Very comfortable and a lot of thought has gone into this vest. My only issue would be that the mobile phone case is not for an iPhone plus phone size. This isn’t a show stopper however. The new bottles take some getting used to (the new lid) but once you’ve worked it out, you’ll realise it’s a great little design. The customer service from ultra Marathon was as usual, spot on! UD Jurek FKT Vest August 28, 2017 Reviewer: Colin Galer from Lowestoft, Suffolk United Kingdom   Perfect delivery and packaging. Vest is great quality. Have tried it a good few times now in training, holds loads of kit. Bit awkward to get to side pockets on the move but not impossible. Ample storage all over and phone pocket holds and keeps dry my iPhone 5S. Pulled the side straps tight moving the bottles towards the side of my chest giving minimal bounce on the move. Ultimate Direction Jurek FKT Backpack August 14, 2017 Reviewer: Charles Smedley from Walsall, West Midlands United Kingdom   As always the service I received from Ultra Marathon Running Store was excellent. The product was priced cheaper than elsewhere on the web or offline store. The backpack is just as described and is exactly what I was looking for. Recommend UMRS for all running gear.
