Good cushioning/poor fit comfort May 13, 2017 Reviewer: PapaShack from North Yorkshire England   I wanted some low-ish drop shoes for the trails I run as they are as dry & hard as the road currently, & I have a sore ankle that needs cushioning.  These seemed to fit the bill & were fine walking about the house, & seem to be for up to 10km, but the slightly odd sole design comes right up and rubs my arch on my smaller foot & my big toe on my slightly larger foot causing blisters which their 'Speed Instinct' & LaSportiva Helios SR which I normally run in don't.  My feet are an average width 43/44 in most makes & this problem seems peculiar to these particular shoes.  It's a shame as otherwise they are fine, however as I run between 7-13 miles 3x a week these are useless to me Was this review helpful to you?

Oh dear... April 26, 2017 Reviewer: Mads Olesen from Hørsholm, Hørsholm Denmark   The Bondi B and 3 were good shoes. The upper was flawed but worked. The 4 used a whole new type of foam in the midsole and this broke down way too fast and was narrower than the previous models. Hoka went in a whole new direction for the 5, possibly to not repeat the mistakes made with the 4. They did return it to the width of the B and they firmed up the foam just a tad. Actually they've put foam rughly the hardness of a brick under this shoe. It does have some advantages: 1) I have to take extremely short steps and keep level to the ground when I run to not have excessive forces go through my tired old legs. This is possibly an advantage, although that was taken care of by the midsole foam in the previous models. 2) They won't wear out. I can't see myself putting very many miles in these shoes if they don't miraculously break in and soften. After 20 miles I'm not expecting it. Was this review helpful to you?

A Long-Distance Shoe March 20, 2017 Reviewer: Gavin from East Lothian United Kingdom   Had the Bondi 4 and loved it so got the Bondi 5 - Not disappointed. It is slightly wider at the toe box (which is good) other than that, same good shoe. Gets me to 50+ miles on roads and light trails and for me that's 10+ hours on my feet.
