Too early for a true evaluation due to my mileage being 75% lower than usual. Nevertheless, based on runs I've managed, I'm impressed with how light Clayton is. It's roomy too, but feel its not as responsive as I expectected. Whether that's due to opting for the wrong size or it's attributable to the toe box being too roomy, I don't know.
It doesn't have the same snug fit and flexibility as my usual shoe Brooks Launch either. They perhaps need some serious wearing in too as I suffered soreness on the bridge of my right foot on my initial short run, unlike Brooks Launch which I can wear straight outof the box without issues.
So the jury is still out but I'll give them more time. Perhaps flexibilty and responsiveness will come with wear. Perhaps I 'd have been better chancing half a size down but reluctant to do that given peculiarities of HOKA's
Biggest plus for me is the weight though and you certainly feel the difference. Just disappointed thus far with the fit.
