Different from other Hokas - great in its own way |

I've had lots of different pairs of Hokas and these fit a niche in between the grip of the Speedgoat (a fantastic shoe if you want great grip with good cushioning) and the comfort of the Stinson ATR (brilliant off-road cushioning, but the grip is trail, not fell). The speed instinct feel fast and snug and have good cushioning for road and light trail. The fit is regular but not generous, so if you are between sizes, go for the bigger one. If you're new to Hokas this will feel like a more cushioned shoe trail shoe than anything you've used before but in a more familiar format than the maximal Hokas. If you're a Hoka fan looking for a light fast road & trail shoe alongside your 'real' Hokas, this will fit the bill.......it's not as plush as the Stinson ATR but very very good in its own way.
