UYN Face Mask: Community Mask
The UYN Community Mask is an ergonomic and lightweight ventilated sports face mask with a three-dimensional shape to fit neatly around the mouth and nose whilst allowing you to breath comfortably - so the mask can be worn during sports activities too. The anatomically shaped mouth section are combined with a close-fitting but elastic neck section, keeping the mask firmly in place, yet with freedom of movement.
Made of breathable, moisture repellent and quick drying Texlyte Nano yarn, the mask does not store moisture, dries very quickly and is not affected by repeated washing; a re-usable mask that can be used again and again. Texlyte Nano is very light, allowing air to circulate freely between the skin and the garment. This also reduces the overall weight of the equipment for longer periods of activity.
It is not a disposable product. Available in four sizes and multiple colours, the Social Mask fits perfectly on small heads and are suitable for children.
The Community Mask acts as a barrier that reduces the risk of infecting others because it can shorten the range of the droplets that are ejected when people cough, sneeze and speak. It is not a medical grade product and should not be used as a piece of personal protective equipment. Maintaining social distancing measures and washing hands regularly are essential.

BREATHABLE
The three-dimensional knitted structure is more densely knitted in the mouth and nose area: this reduces the speed of respiratory flow and saliva/mucus droplet ejection. But the UYN Community Mask still allows you to breathe easily, so the mask can be worn during sports activities, too.
MOISTURE REPELLENT
Thanks to processing with Texlyte Nano, the Community Mask is moisture- repellent. This property of the yarn is permanent and is not affected by repeated washing. Texlyte Nano does not store moisture but dries very quickly.

WASHABLE AND REUSABLE
The Community Mask is not a disposable product. Once purchased, the mask can be used again and again. It is important for the mask to be washed at 60° after every use. This is sufficient to eliminate pathogens. The mask is designed for personal use only: it should not be passed around within the family, for example.
MATERIAL PROPERTIES
HEALTHY
The Texlyte Nano used for the Community Mask has been certified and produced in Europe according to Oekotex Standard 100. It does not cause any allergies and is therefore particularly suitable for articles with high hygiene standards.
THERMO-REGULATING
Texlyte Nano has a very low conductivity so it guarantees an exceptionally high level of insulation – which makes for excellent thermal comfort.
LIGHT
Texlyte Nano is 50% lighter than cotton and 34% lighter than polyester, so of all synthetic fibres this material is very well suited for use as a mask.
DRY
Texlyte Nano is hydrophobic by nature. The moisture-repellent property of the yarn is permanent and is not affected by repeated washing. Texlyte Nano does not store moisture but dries very quickly. For pleasant wear comfort.
ECOLOGICAL
The production and maintenance of Texlyte Nano requires 30% less energy than for polyester. No pesticides or toxic dyes are used. For this reason, experts consider it to be one of the most environment-friendly synthetic fibres. Furthermore, Texlyte Nano is 100% recyclable.
DURABLE
Abrasion, tension and tearing is no problem for Texlyte Nano. Its abrasion resistance is 2.5 times higher than that of cotton. Even sweat, sun and moisture have no effect on the durability of Texlyte Nano.
EASY-CARE
Due to the hydrophobic property of Texlyte Nano, the material is insensitive to dirt, can be washed at 60°C and dries within a short time. Ironing is not necessary. The mask can be used again after a short time.
HOW TO USE
1. Wash your hands (20 seconds)
2. Cover your mouth and nose with the mask.
3. Attach the straps behind your ears.
4. Position the mask firmly over your nose and chin.
5. Do not touch the mask while wearing it.
6. When removing the mask, only touch the straps.

The Social Mask is not a medical product and does not provide protection from infection. By wearing it, it is possible to reduce the speed of respiratory flow and saliva/mucus droplet ejection, thereby helping to reduce the further spread of Covid-19. However, the Community Mask has not been shown to have any protective effect in a medical sense. The required social distancing and regular hand washing measures are still the best protection from infection.
